Transition photochromic technology allows the tint to be automatically and seamlessly changed from clear to dark depending on sunlight. This works as follows: Photochromic dyes embedded in the visor react to UV light and change the levels of darkness according to the sun's rays. As the UV light decreases, a chemical reaction driven by ambient heat takes place, transforming the activated photochromic molecules into their original, clear form. The visor then fades again.
